Question 1

What areas does Flying Cow Roofing serve?

Accepted Answer

Flying Cow Roofing serves North Dallas homeowners from our Farmersville, TX office, including McKinney, Allen, Frisco, Plano, Farmersville, Fairview, Lucas, Parker, Josephine, Nevada, Lavon, Wylie, Sachse, and Murphy.

Question 2

Is Flying Cow Roofing the same company as WB Roofing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Flying Cow Roofing is the new name for the roofing company formerly known as WB Roofing in Farmersville, TX. Same team, same ownership, new name.

Question 3

How do I know if my roof has hail damage?

Accepted Answer

Hail bruising is usually invisible from the ground. Look for dented gutters, downspouts, vent caps, and AC condenser fins, plus shingle granules collecting at the bottom of downspouts. Those are the giveaways that the roof took the same hit. If you see any of them, book a free inspection and we will photograph every slope so you know exactly what you are dealing with.

Question 4

Will insurance cover my roof replacement in Texas?

Accepted Answer

Most Texas homeowner policies cover sudden storm damage from hail and wind, minus your deductible. They do not cover normal wear or age. Whether you get a full replacement or a repair depends on how much documented storm damage your adjuster finds per slope. We walk the roof with your adjuster, document everything, and make sure nothing legitimate gets left off the scope of loss.

Question 5

How fast can you inspect my roof after a storm?

Accepted Answer

Most North Dallas homeowners get on our schedule within 24 to 48 hours of calling, and same-day when there is an active leak. During a major hail event the queue gets longer, so calling early puts you near the front of it.

Question 6

What is included in the 32-point inspection?

Accepted Answer

Our 32-point checklist covers five zones: roof covering (shingle condition, missing or broken shingles, wind lift, hail impact, granule loss, fasteners), flashing (valleys, sidewalls, headwalls, step and kick-out flashing, chimney, skylights, drip edge), penetrations (vent boots, flue flashing, exhaust vents, attachments, ridge and hip caps), ventilation and attic (intake, exhaust, airflow balance, decking stains, insulation and condensation), and structure and drainage (soft decking, gutters, downspouts, fascia and soffit, interior leak signs). Each point is marked Good, Monitor, Repair, Replace, or Not Applicable, and you get a written report with photos.

Question 7

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer financing for roof replacements with monthly payment plans, and pre-qualification takes about a minute with no impact on your credit score. It is a common option for covering a deductible or for work that insurance will not pay for.

Question 8

Did the phone number change with the name change?

Accepted Answer

No. It is still (469) 902-0727. Email now goes to info@flyingcowroofing.com.

Question 9

Are my WB Roofing warranty and estimates still valid?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in full. Every workmanship warranty, material warranty, signed contract, and open estimate is honored by Flying Cow Roofing. Open insurance claims continue unchanged.

Question 10

How do I know if my roof has hail damage after a North Texas storm?

Accepted Answer

Hail bruising is often invisible from the ground. Look for dented gutters, downspouts, vents, and AC fins, plus granules collecting at the bottom of downspouts. If you see any of those signs, book a free inspection. We photograph every slope and show you exactly what we find.

Question 11

What does wind damage to a roof look like in McKinney and Allen?

Accepted Answer

North Texas straight-line winds lift and crease shingles, tear off ridge caps, and pull flashing loose along walls and chimneys. Creased shingles will not reseal, so they keep letting water past even though the roof looks intact from the curb.

Question 12

How long do I have to file a hail or wind damage insurance claim in Texas?

Accepted Answer

Most Texas homeowner policies require you to report storm damage promptly, and many carriers set a one to two year deadline from the date of loss. Check your policy, then get the roof documented right away so the date and extent of damage are on record.

Question 13

Do you help with insurance claims after a hailstorm?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a North Texas hailstorm we provide a free inspection, document any storm damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and help you understand your scope of loss and depreciation. We don't file the claim for you, but we make sure nothing legitimate gets missed.

Question 14

How long does a roof replacement take from claim approval to finished roof?

Accepted Answer

Once your claim is approved and materials are ordered, most North Dallas homes are scheduled within one to two weeks and torn off and re-roofed in a single day. Larger or steeper roofs occasionally run into a second day. Weather delays are the main variable during spring storm season.

Question 15

Are roof inspections really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every inspection is free, with no obligation and no pressure. We climb the roof, document the condition with photos, and walk you through what we found in plain English.

Question 16

How much does a new roof cost in North Dallas?

Accepted Answer

Most full residential replacements in North Dallas fall between $9,000 and $25,000, depending on roof size, pitch, material, and decking condition. Use our 7-step roof cost calculator for a tailored estimate before you ever talk to a salesperson.

Question 17

What shingles do you install?

Accepted Answer

We specialize in two premium systems built for the North Texas climate: Malarkey Vista (Class 3 impact, NEX polymer-modified asphalt) and CertainTeed Belmont (designer-style Class 3 impact). Both qualify most homeowners for an insurance discount on their windstorm and hail premium.

Question 18

What warranty comes with my new roof?

Accepted Answer

You get the manufacturer's material warranty (often lifetime, transferable) plus our own lifetime workmanship warranty. Workmanship covers anything our crew touches during install, flashing, ridge, valleys, penetrations, and ventilation.

Question 19

Do you do commercial roofing?

Accepted Answer

No. We focus exclusively on residential roofing in North Dallas. That focus lets us hold a higher standard on the kinds of asphalt, stone-coated, and metal systems homeowners actually live under.

Question 20

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Call (469) 902-0727, fill out the contact form, or schedule a free inspection online. We'll set a time that works for you, show up when we say we will, and leave you with photos and an honest assessment.
